What a pear starter kit really costs in Luanda
The honest read on pear: 21 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Angola, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 8–15 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Angola.
Where pear goes wrong
- Treating the advertised Kz65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Kz2.25 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Angola accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Luanda: about Kz2.25 per 10 ml liquid plus Kz65 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever Angola allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
