Tropical RDA IQOS in Luanda: the review shortlist
Tropical in Luanda: 11 units tested over 4 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Angola.
Where buyers go wrong with tropical in Angola
We run tropical the same way in Luanda: same RDA, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Angola are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical RDA really costs in Luanda
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Luanda that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within Kz2.94 per 10 ml.
How we tested tropical in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Angola, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 8–15 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 8–15 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised Kz44 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Kz2.94 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Angola stocks.
