Melon pen device IQOS in Luanda: the budget shortlist
Melon in Luanda: 12 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Angola.
What the label on Melon is allowed to say
Most people searching IQOS in Angola are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
A melon pen device from the budget options in Angola costs about Kz3.03 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon pen device really costs in Luanda
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Luanda that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within Kz3.03 per 10 ml.
How we tested melon in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Angola, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 8–15 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where melon goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Angola accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised Kz31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Kz3.03 per 10 ml.
